Install the app first
There are no passwords here. This device is your login.
Joining happens in person: a neighbor's browser shows a secret, you type it here. After that, any browser you're logged in on can log in your next one. Keep at least one logged in and you can always connect another; lose them all and a neighbor (or the operator) gets you back in.
That's why installing matters: browsers eventually clear a tab's storage, but an installed app keeps its login. Install Communal Computer to your home screen and make this device a durable login.
- Tap the Share button in your browser's toolbar.
- Choose Add to Home Screen.
- Open Communal Computer from your home screen and come back to this page.
- Open your browser's menu.
- Choose Install app (or Add to Home screen).
- Open the installed app and come back to this page.

Two neighbors, standing together. One opens their account page and generates a secret; the other types it here. Both devices record the moment. The cost of a fake account is convincing a real neighbor to vouch for you in person.
